Scientific Explanation Behind Traditional Punishment of Indians- Did You Know This?

You must have remembered the traditional punishment from your childhood series. Remember, you crossed your hands across your chest, held alternate ear lobes, and sat down and got up as many times as the master or your parent demanded. This punishment was invoked from the days of the Gurukulam or Gurukul (ancient education system in India).

However, do you know there is a scientific rationale behind this Indian punishment or practice?

As a child sat down and got up a number of times, his/her blood circulation improves, stimulates better concentration capacity and memory power. Eventually, by crossing the hands across the chest section and holding alternate lobes, rises a fine coordination between the right and left sides of the brain.

Also, by pressurizing the points on the ear lobes, brain cells get stimulated. Hence, the punishment decreases learning disabilities within the weak students.
