Every year, India celebrates Ayudha Puja on the ninth day of Navaratri, also known as Astra Puja. While the Navaratri festival is celebrated nationwide, the celebration known as Ayudha Puja has different levels of veneration and customs in different parts of India.

The three main deities revered during the Ayudha Puja are Parvati, the goddess of power; Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth; and Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge.

On this occasion, it is customary to venerate the tools used by people from diverse backgrounds and professions, such as a soldier’s weapons, an artisan’s tools, and a student’s books. All tools, artifacts, and instruments used in one’s line of work should be cleaned and revered with the utmost regard as a part of this puja ritual.
