Observe Vralakshmi Vrat To Get All Your Boons Granted

Varalakshmi Vrat is one of the favored Hindu festivals to appease the goddess Lakshmi, consort of Lord Vishnu. Varalakshmi or Laxmi is the goddess who grants everyone’s boon. On this day, married women from several Indian regions observe fasting called Vara Lakshmi Vrat followed by Varalakhsmi puja (worship).

Importance of Varalakshmi Vrat:

Varalakshmi Vrat is observed by married women seeking the well-being of their family, especially their husband’s longevity, prosperity, and to get progeny. Devotees believe that worshipping Varalakshmi is similar to praying Asthalakshmi– the eight manifestations of Goddess Laxmi. Asthalakshmi denotes prosperity, good health, strength, fertility, good fortune, knowledge, progeny, and power.

People celebrate Vara Lakshmi Vrat on the Second Friday or the Friday before Purnima (new moon) in the Hindu month Shravan (August-September).

Vara Lakshmi Vrat Puja Rituals:

Women of every household clean their home, decorate the entire space with flowers and rangoli design. They take a bath and wear new clothes and jewelry, and thereby, the devotion process starts.

Lastly, the puja gets over with the recitation of Varalakshmi Vrat Katha. You must perform fasting on this auspicious day with complete devotion and chant Varalakshmi Vrat Mantra during the puja to get goddess Varalakhsmi’s blessings.
