Along with Maha Shivaratri, devotees dedicated another grand festival to the mighty Lord Shiva- “Masik Shivaratri”. Justifying the name “Masik Shivaratri” (Masik= Monthly, Shivaratri= Night of Shiva), the festival falls on Krishna Paksha (waning moon) of each month, according to Hinduism.
Masik Shivaratri Rituals:
Shiva puja (worshiping Shiva) is indeed a dense devotion to perform. As Lord Shiva has an uncountable dedicated fan-base, the followers observe fasting on Masik Shivaratri strongly, known as Masik Shivaratri Vrat, only to get rid of negative feelings such as- fury, lust, grief, greed, jealousy, or pride.
