Narakasura is a legendary figure in Hindu mythology, known for his tyranny and wickedness. According to legends, he is the son of the earth goddess, Bhudevi and Varaha, the boar incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

According to the mythological accounts, Narakasura was a powerful demon king who ruled the kingdom of Pragjyotisha, the present-day Assam in northeastern India. He was notorious for his cruelty and arrogance and had an army of demons at his command.
