Akshaya Tritiya is another auspicious day for Hindus. It is said that the birthday of Lord Parshuram (the 6th incarnation of Lord Vishnu) is celebrated as the Akshaya Tritiya festival, also known as Akshaya Teej. Starting and buying anything new (i.e. gold, new apartment, etc.) on this day will bring you success, prosperity, and fortune in life.
Akshaya Tritiya takes place in the Hindu month of Vaishak. In Hindu beliefs, there are many vital Akshaya Tritiya significance among Hindus.
Akshaya means non-diminished, imperishable, and eternal lights in Sanskrit. Tritiya means third, symbolizing the third lunar day of the spring. According to ancient cosmology, if horoscope discordant couples get married on this day, they will be relieved from negative influences.

- Goddess Durga won the battle against Mahishasura on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.
- Besides, Pandavas were gifted a pot by Lord Surya, called Akshaya Patra, during incarnation, that had never-ending food amount.
- On this auspicious day, Lord Shiva granted Lord Kuber as the treasurer of wealth.
- On the same day, Lord Krishna’s childhood friend Sudama visited him with rice flakes as a gift. Krishna accepted the gift happily. But, Sudama couldn’t tell Krishna about his problem. After coming back to his home, he was surprised by the ample food, which was enough to feed his for ages.
