In Hinduism, Shravan Maas (July–August) is regarded as among the most auspicious month of all. According to Vedic astrology, Shravan Maas is considered to begin when the Sun approaches the zodiac constellation of Leo. In fact, Shravan commences on the day of the new moon according to the lunar calendar.
